2000 Acura Integra – trunk lock broken?
Ben F asked:
I'm able to release the trunk lock from the inside, however, the trunk will not open unless I put the key into the trunk lock and then I need to turn the key to the right before I can move the lever to open the trunk. Do I see a locksmith or dealership to repair this? Thanks for your help and time.

go to an auto body repair shop, or the dealer- expect to pay 200% more at the dealer.
I also own an Integra so I know all about this. This is a common issue which can only be fixed by replacing the lock motor regulator, however the problem may arise again. A RARE defect that Honda refuses to acknowledge as a problem.
The only things you can do is have the motor regulator replaced and hope it doesn't happen again, or live with it. Sorry to tell you there isn't a good solution.
