96 Mercury Sable trunk key anyone know how to get one?

I had bought my car used from a dealer. I had gotten the automatic thing for my key chain to open the trunk and the doors. Well now the trunk doesn’t open from that or the button down by the steering wheel. It opens on occassion like when it isn’t hot outside and when it wants too.

I had never received a trunk key which I should’ve asked for. I took my car to tires plus and had it looked at. Well they told me it would be atleast $80 to replace the latch and that I would have to have a locksmith come out and make a key for the car. I checked and it will cost around $150 to have a locksmith come out. Is there any cheaper way of obtaining the key so I don’t have to crawl through the back seat? And if I do get the key for the car do you think I will still have to fix the part that opens the trunk and keeps it closed?
