Can a locksmith open my home for my X?
September asked:
My x-husband wants my TV that I paid for and I’m afraid that he will call a locksmith one of these days to come into my home. Would a locksmith open my house if my x said that he lives their but has lost his key? My x does not have my address on his driver’s licenses. What are the laws when it comes to locksmiths opening doors in California?

No, he cannot. Legally.
But that does not mean he can’t get it done, either by enlisting the help a locksmith who knows very well what he is doing is wrong (ever heard of a bribe?), or by tricking one into thinking your ex- has a right to access.
