yea for around 70$ and thats when you bring the lock into them Idon’t know about truck boxes but my experiance was a pissed girl freind and an old k/1500.
You might be able to do it yourself and save a few $$
Turn the key around in the lock with a pocket knife to its position of pullout
to remove the key- glue an ordinary paper clip to the key with Instant Set Epoxy purchased at Lowes.
This technique is commonly used to remove car and house keys that broke off in the locks and works very well.
Not that Miss. Mopar’s idea is bad, I would be careful in doing it. If you get too much epoxy in there then you risk gluing the tumblers inside the lock and that would defeat the whole point of doing it. If you go to a parts store they should sell a hook and pick set. This is what most locksmiths will use to remove the broken key.
Yea, Go with the hook. Although the glue is much fun if you do it carefully.
