Interesting question, the Jerry Sienfeld solution is a smart and practical, hassle-free contigency plan to such a predicament. Have your keys duplicated and entrust em' to a close friend who's not klepto and proximity-wise lives within your vicinity. Simply ask for em' when these irritating situations crop up. While your at it you can send over your IPOD to my place and I can download to it 10,000 great tracks from different genres from my PC for free, better still perhaps you can entrust to me your duplicated house keys. Whachatink?
