How do I open my lock on my briefcase?

It’s a 3 digit combo briefcase, that is set. I have tried every combo from 000-999 so I need another solution. After this I’m going to take it to a locksmith but I wanted to check if anyone had an answer. I’ve heard of some sort of way to open it with a screwdriver but I don’t want to break it.

take it to a lock smith
wow…how many combinations were there?
If you were trying all of the combinations…did you you spin the dials a complete turn after each try? You may need to do that to get it to work. Just a thought. Good luck.
