Sorry.
The tumbler pins won't alow the tumbler to be removed. Even if you drill out the lock pin.
Have to use a slide hammer, putting it in the center of the key hole, and pulling it out breaking it, then the remains pull out with a magnet
A slide hammer will work but there is a good chance taht it will break someting else.Drilling out the tumblers is another option.I would get the locksmith
The slide hammer trick does work but as auto tech says, you risk the chance of breaking the aluminum housing the lock is in.
Normally the dealer will drill the tumblers as drilling the push pin will work to a point but you still have to turn the cylinder if I remember to get the lock completely out.
You can try drilling the pin and slide hammer it out but no guarantees on what it can damage but out of both, probably the best bet short of the locksmith or finding the key code tucked in with the owners manual (should be a aluminum tag..and no the Ford dealer doesn't have the code anymore.. only 1997 and newer)
Pay the 150.00 dollars it is your cheapest way out. Any method trying to remove a thumbler other than with key inserted will result in damage.
You could make a 999 key or a bump key. Once you get the ignition to turn you can start the car and then use a pin to push the cylinder release and drive it to the lock smith to be rekeyed.
