I have a locked UPVC back door with a euro lock that is jammed totally, I want to know how to remove the lock. I know the logical is call a locksmith, but I cannot afford it at the moment.

Youtube is full of videos covering locks etc.
Worth a try.

No need to drill it out, it’s difficult and time consuming, take the handles off, put some moll grips on one side of the barrel and hit the other side with a hammer, the barrel will snap, pull it out and put the handles back the door will open, take out the screw that was securing the barrel. Job done.

BoyBoy if he could open the door to get to the retaining screw he wouldn’t be asking this question, would he

a euro lock is held in position by a screw in the side of the door ..its is a straight thread ..not a self tapper ..remove this and with a bit of luck it might push out ..but if the piece that locks the door is in wrong position .it wont allow lock to be removed as it has to align with lock body to come out …but they do drill out easy

You can drill the lock out, but it is a very hard metal and you need a couple of good steel drills.
