how to to open ford ranger spare tire lock w/out the key??

I bought my ranger 4 years ago and now want to use the spare tire and find I have no key.for the lock above the bumper.My manual has a pic of it and says it was supposed to be in glove compartment -wrong.Ford wants $160 to make one for it.They say they can’t take the tire off for me.Could a locksmith get it open and how much would that cost ? Thanks bunches

Lock smith would be cheaper than $160
Hot wrench will have it off in 10 sec. Lock smiths can make a key for under $50
I hope you are not planning to steal your girl friend’s spare wheel….
