I accidently locked my keys in my car, I don’t have a spare key, how can I get in?
Question by Matthew P:
1994 Chevy Lumina car, I don’t want to call a locksmith, or break a window. I would like to do the clothes hanger trick, but I don’t know what to look for, on the inside of the door

Cakk your local police force. They might come out and do it free. If not, get a slim jim.
call the car dealer who WILL have a spare key
then, tell them to put the key up to the phone, ress the unlock button and then you hold your phone up to the car
I SWEAR IT WORKS
you know if you call the police they will do it for free. they have a slim jim in their cars always.
Get somebody with a slim jim.
Oh, and don’t do what that guy said with calling the police, please…. Police should be doing other things than opening doors.
I recently saw someone solve that problem, it was a pontiac so yours might be similar. She removed the radio antenna, pried the door enough to get the antenna in to press the unlock button.
This is why I ALWAYS carry spare door keys for every car I own. You’ve learned the hard way like all of us. A skilled locksmith can make a key by sliding a blank in and out of your lock, and filing indentations based on the mark left on the blank. It’s not expensive.
With the proper ID and vin number, any GM dealer parts/service department can be of help. Also any fire department or police officer can be of assistants. Use the non emergency number when you call.
Use the antenna man.
It is always better to call a REAL Locksmith, pay the 25-35 and forget about it. By the time you go running around going to dealers and all over the place you will have paid a lot more. In some areas STEALERS charge MORE than a Locksmith as they do not share codes for cars anymore.
