sorry.i don’t know how.

i_like_water2006 @ 2:24 pm

Lockpick it, or, if worse comes to worse, smash the window.

creative_artistguy @ 5:52 am

You should be able to use a coat hanger in the interior of the door mechanism and flip up the lock if the Chevy is old enough.

can you afford to break a window?

do you have a spare key?

there are some keys called skeleton keys, which can open alot of cars…i’m not sure, but i used one once, because theame thing happened to me, in the parking lot of a restaurant.

i’m so sorry, hope you find a solution.

~~~~~~~~~~~ @ 7:42 am
if you get a crow bar and put it at the bottom of the window and just pry it until it opens
Quick v2 @ 7:17 pm
If it’s like a pickup truck, then try the back window.
veedizzle @ 2:54 am
ur probably gonna have 2 break the window…………dont break the smallest one because thats the most expensive one……it happenned 2 a friend
o_r_y_g_u_n @ 9:41 am
Try using a metal coat hanger… cut it and unfold it… You can usually snake it around the window edge.. Then push your door locks button.. Takes seom time but works..
Never found a car / truck i cound’t get into
ALso.. MOST cab companies have cabs with “slim Jims” and will do it for pretty cheap
Silverstang @ 10:58 pm
Well, maybe a local garage, or friend you may know might have a tool called a slim jim, or a spouse, or G/F that might have a spare key. Or worse case, call the local Police, or sherrif and see if they might want to be considerate and help you out. Or call your insurance, and see if there is a thing in there for free vehicle Getting into thing…or something along them words.
Bluealt @ 8:43 pm
If you call the cops & can prove you’re the owner of the car, sometimes they’ll help you get it unlocked with their special tools.
Try a coat hanger.
Break the window on the passenger side as a last resort.
older woman @ 6:35 am
If you happen to have a cellphone and somebody else has a set of keys, hold the cellphone up to the lock of the truck and have the other person press the unlock button. I have heard that this works. Regular garages usually have “jimmys” the things that you can slide down the window and pop the lock that way.
84_4X4 @ 9:47 am
maby a friend has a slimjim, or maby a coat hanger will work.
tadams @ 4:53 pm
FIND A SMALL WEDGE SLIDE IN THE WINDOW.THAT MAKES A GAP BETWEEN THE WINDOW AND THE DOOR.FIND A STIFF PIECE OF WIRE AT THE END OF THE WIRE MAKE A 3” BEND THEN MAKE A SMALL HOOK AT THE END, THEN PUT A PIECE OF DOUBLE SIDED TAPE ON THE HOOK, SLIDE IT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DOOR.FIND THE ROD WITH A SMALL LIGHT THEN PUSH IT FORWARD GENTLY WITH THE TOOL YOU JUST MADE. THIS IS THE TOOL I USE TO UNLOCK GM VEHICLES.
benz3969 @ 11:30 am
Get a sledgehammer and smash the window
answerman63 @ 3:51 am
I don’t know what year truck you have, but my first thought is to take a heavy wire coat hanger, unbend it all the way so it’s straight, and then make a little tight “J” hook at the end. Work the hanger in between the window and seal, or if that’s not possible, the door and the door seal. The idea is to either a) hit the power unlock button b) grab the manual lock button and move it to the unlocked position, or c) grab the inside door handle and pull on it (if your door will unlock this way). If you have a “wing”, you could try to work the hanger over to where the latch is on the wing and try to open it that way. Beware, it will test your patience.
The other thing would be to take the hanger (still with the J hook at the end) and slide it down between the OUTSIDE of the window and the window seal, down to where the lock is…get below the lock (you have to go by feel), and pull upwards to try to disengage it. (warning…most newer vehicles are constructed so you can’t do this).
Also, if your truck has a sliding rear window, you can try the hanger method to unlatch it as well.
Hope this helps a little. Good Luck
the_cheeze_cop @ 2:33 am
Go to local auto parts store and purchase a ‘Slim-Jim’. Long, very thin gauge piece of metal about 1.5″ wide by 2′ long. Fish this down in between door window seal and window. Used for shifting the lock rods up or down or sideways to unlock door. Some newer cars and trucks have theft deterrent panel over the rods to prevent this.
Other idea is to get a wooden wedge and jamb that in between door and body to flex upper part of door away from body. May gain some room for coat hanger/rod/etc to hit door lock button. Take your time as to not flex door frame to much….
Also, you could remove the back window and then re-install it. Kind of a booger to get back in, but no windows will get broken.
Did we learn anything from this? Get a spare door key made.
loose goose @ 12:01 pm
you need a rod that will stretch from one side to the other. must be firm. slide it between the window and the frame on the front side of the window. strech it across and hit the unlock button. Any dealer will open it but how do you get it there? slim jims went out with electric door locks, too many things to damage down there.
John Paul @ 11:37 pm
Both of the other answers not what you wanted to hear.. Electric lock truck you can push the button coat hangers un twisted and open the locks Horizonal red sliding lock under the inside door release are a little harder you need a wedge or screwdriver wrapped in rag to pry back the top of the door I reccomend passenger side then place wedge or your wallet in the top of the door to hold it. Then find Metal rod approx 1/8 to 3/16 inch thick about 3.5 feet long bend a slight curve and 90 degree bend on the end with 1.5 inch sticking out after the bend with this tool you can pass the rubber door seal at the top left corner of the passengers door and push the slide lock below the inside door handle. Now pull up on the outside hoor handle. You really have to think top metal wire chain link fence good! old trunk torsion spring rod good! Scrap aluminum or steel welding rods good! Coat hangers are not rigid enough to push or pull the slide lock
Paul @ 2:08 pm
unless you break a window, you are NOT getting in.
firemedic441 @ 7:47 pm
Try using the VIN numbers displayed at the dash pad level on the drivers side and see if a G.M. dealer can make you a key if the locks have not ever been changed that may work, most models can have a key cut from this number it will have numbers and letters you will need them all it is around 10-15 or so numbers/letters. Looking from the windshield toward the steering wheel they will be near the bottom of the windshild near the door post
rbrew08 @ 8:49 pm
Go to a local new or used carlot and I promise you they have an unlock kit…. and if you are an attractrive women they will gladly help you get in for free and if you are a man get a job and call a locksmith. not tryin to be rude just honest!!
