I assume he is not inside the room? If you have a husband or neighbor they might be able to take the door off it’s hinges for you.

Then get a different lock, one you can open

Get a credit card and put it inbetween the door and the jam. Work it around untill it pushes the thing( sorry, don’t know what it’s called) in.

If it’s a usual household doorknob, you should be able to take a screwdriver, and take the whole knob off with ease.

it sounnds like a small version of a lever-lock. try taking a long piece of heavy metal (a coat hanger), measure from the floor to the knob, put small hook on the end, insert wire under door, turn up, try to catch handle, pull down. Good luck

This type lock needs a small screwdriver to unlock. Get a cheap set of optical screwdrivers at Walmart. If there is room, you might try sliding a knife inbetween the door and the part that holds the door closed.

If the hinges are on the outside by you then pop them. If they’re on the inside then you’ll either have to break the door down and possibly replace it or try to get in through any window in the room from the outside.

If I could’t get it open, I’d call a locksmith and have precious son pay for the charges.

The passage lock should have a key with it.

If there is a hole it means that a piece of wire , say a paper clip straightened, can activate the release. You are not pushing a button out but releasing a lever.

1)if your willing to buy a new knob, then take an Axe and hit it untill the handle breaks off. then break-and-pull out every part of the knob out until you will see a spring loaded piece of metal come shooting out. that is the lock. then the door will swing open.

2) if you have ever seen “no country for old men”, then do what the crazy guy does.

3)pick the lock. (im guessing you dont know how) look up something like how a lock works on google. then youll understand more how to pick it.

as a final word, don’t try to take it off its hinges because the lock will still keep it in place. also, the weight of the door could cause the lock to bust out the wood and fall down. then youll have to repair the wall. (4-800$)

The lock probably originally came with a tool to insert in the little hole and turn it. Like a small screw driver. As suggested above, locate a screwdriver that will fit in the hole and turn it. Much easier than all that other stuff.

Unscrew the knobs and pull off, then open with a tool, like big screwdriver, by twisting the middle hole mechanism inside door.

take a hanger a wire one then bend the hanger part till it is straight then poke it throught the hole till it won’t go in anymore the bend the handel then it will open but if your sons in their maybe he wants to be alone

If your son is still inside then here is what you should do…get a meat slicer. Slice some ham or turkey up very thin and slide it under the door. We need to make sure he continues to receive nourishment. Now, take a crazy straw and slide under the door. Connect some small windshield wiper tubing to it and put your end in a large container of Mug Rootbeer (he will love that). Now, tell him to suck on the straw. If there is enough room under the door slide one of his favorite chewable vitamins to him as well. Now, once he has the energy to move away from the door take an axe and chop your way through it. But, first, make sure he is way away from the door. Otherwise we will be answering questions about head injuries. If all of this is too much then just get a small, flat head electricians screwdriver from the garage, insert it in the hole of the door knob, push with a little pressure and turn until it unlocks the lock. Either way will work.
