You make the call to your roadside service provider. If you don’t have a service provider, call the nearest towing company directly and tell them you need lock out service. It will cost you much less than repairing the damage you will do attempting it with a coat hanger.
get a sturdy metal coat hanger. about a millimeter thick. unbend the hanger part of it with pliers and straighten it out. with the pliers, bend one end into a hook, kind of like the letter J. don’t make the bend more than one inch though… then slide it through the top of the door frame down until you catch the lock. it might be easier to go through the side of the door frame though. give both ways a try… good luck,
You drive a ‘93 geo metro…. I think locking your keys in it were the best thing that ever happened to you.
un twist the metal hanger and pry it in between the door jam. its tricky to get it right and i dont know what kinda lock you have but fiddle with it. Make sure you do this from the top of the door or mabe you have a window thats down just enough to pry that hanger in there otherwise the way i told you in the beginning may damage your rubber seal…good luck honey ive done it a million times
Go to your local chevy dealership.Go to the parts dept.Give them proof of ownership and the last eight of the VIN number. They will cut a new key for you.You will only owe for the key.Lots cheeper than causeing damage to you car with a coat hanger.Hope this helps.
