I locked the keys to my acura 3.5rl 4 door car inside the trunk,I have used a slim jim ,it did not work ,?

Do you have a AAA card? They might be able to help you out. The reason the slim jim didn’t work (most likely) is because your car has power locks.

I suppose you can also try removing one of your tail lights and see if — and to what extent — it allows access to your trunk. I don’t know if it will or not, but if you can access the screws it won’t damage your car to try it.

Barring that, you can try contacting the dealership where you bought the car. They might be able to give you a new key for your car.

the reason the slim jim did not work the door has a anti theft bar covering the locking mech. i need to know what type of slim jim you used be for i can tell you how to get the wright one to open your car there 5 types of jim you just have to get the right one to fit around the anti theft bar

Most windows can be forced down a tiny bit, enough to put something like a coat hanger, or a long shaft that’s strong enough to press the unlock button, and be flexable enough to also.

Anyways, use your hands, and press on the windows, pushing down like you are trying to move the window downwords, don’t worry about using a little force in doing so. You can also use a flat head and wedge it inbetween the window & the top rubber seal. You can use a little bit of force here too, but not like your trying to punch somebody hard…. This should give you a little bit more room to use something…. When I had my acura integra w/ the keys in the seat, i did that, and used someone’s radio antenna & bend it (not totally bend it, it should be able to move itself back into position), and then I inserted it into the window area on top, close to the mirror’s, and pressed the unlock button.

It might take a little time, but it will work!

If the car doors are not locked, remove the back seat and you can reach, if not crawl into the trunk to get the keys. If the doors are locked, keep trying with the slim jim or use a coat hanger to try and flip the button, switch, knob or what ever is there. Then you can remove the back seat. Have patience and you will get it eventually.

WOW! how do you do that in a car like that. slim jims wont work on all cars. it depends on whether or not the door frame goes around the window or not. its hard to explain without actually showing you. ask someone at a police station or junkyard even.
