replace all your locks and ignition switch, 300-600 dollars. You probably have to take apart the door panels. The igntion switch is fairly easy to do.

The dealership

Two ways:

1) Call a locksmith.

2) Get the VIN off your title or your dashboard, take it to the dealer you bought the car from, and have them look up the key code and make you a key.

Your dealership could get it done for you. So could a locksmith. Or one of those special places that specialize on ignitions and stuff like that. It might be a lil expensive (depending on what you can afford) cuz they gotz to come out to you. But yea, they can get it done for ya.

Go to the dealership—they should have the key info that is unique to your car, or be able to look it up from your VIN number.

Go to your local auto parts store and tell them you need a key and lock cylinder for your ignition and door. Or a dealership might be able to help depending on year, make, and model.

Depends on the age of the car, if fairly new a dealership can get you going, but there may be a coding problem involving towing.
If it’s pretty old, a locksmith might be enough.
Expect up to $600 in charges.

you cant go to a locksmith you have to go to your car’s cardealer ship.

i dont have a car but my friend is alway’s losing her car key’s. and never learn’s to get two key’s. they sell a single key holder. it look’s like a match box. in the back of this key box is a strong magnet. you stick this box under your hood or on the metal near the wheel.

dont tell anyone that it’s there. and you should move it around once a week putting it in a different spot.

good luck

oh ps i think the key will be expensive.

First this is what you get for not having made a spare key.I suggest you to change your locks and ignition switch, you never know who could had found them. The dealer could do the job but there very expensive. You could go to a auto part and buy the locks and ignition switch, as per the model of your car and year,Go to your mechanic, that you know or you could rely on to do the job .

Don’t know what year but if it has a glove box with a lock take the lock out and take it to a locksmith. There is a number on it that he can make a key from. Don’t attempt to change your ignition, that is a real hassle and requires a key to remove the lock cylinder or the steering wheel must be removed. I would call a locksmith and ask for the best solution. Your door locks can also be used to make a key if you know how to remove one of them
