I lost my car keys.I have contacted the dealer but it’s going to take 5 working days after Easter?

I think you’re on a lost cause. Didn’t you have a spare set? No dealers are going to be able to help over the holidays. Guess it’s shanks pony for a few days for you!

Car keys are now a dealer only part so not much you can do to rush things along. Try another dealer perhaps. The key will also require coded to the vehicle ecu so dealer is essential.

Hmm thats a problem,Maybe call a lock smith they can make keys from the locks and pritty well straight away.

NO Sorry to be harsh I am only telling the truth. Your key for your 2002 punto has a “chip” fitted that sends a signal to your engine management system.(Security purposes) IF you did get a key cut for your car ALL you would be able to do is open the doors on it. I hope you get sorted soon. Pity I did not live nearer, You could have borrowed my gf,s Car. Good luck.

check down the side of the chair you sit at and make sure they are not down there….i fount two sets of my sons in same place lol

you should have got a brown key with the punto when you bought it. if you cant find this then you better hire a car somewhere fast before they all close for easter.

your key has a programed imobaliser in it you have to get a copy from your dealer bad news can cost over a hundred notes

lesson to be learnt here…. always get a spare cut.

Keep looking for a locksmith. I’m pretty sure I could originate a key for you. If not, I could impression a key for you. However, either method will take time, and on a holiday, I would charge more. So if you are willing to pay a few hundred dollars for a key now, make this clear when you talk to the locksmiths, and you should have better luck.

look in the back of autotrader there is people who will cut and code keys to most cars without the original keys.
