Lost car key, need key code?

I lost the key to my car, Its a single key that is used for trunk, door, and ignition.
I was just wondering where I would be able to find the key code on or in my car.
I have a 1986 Toyota MR2,

And once I do find the code, is that all i need to take to the locksmith to make a copy of the key??

Easier to go to dealer and give them VIN number.
sorry but you’d have to contact the dealer on this one.
call dealer
The key code is usually on a sticker in the glove box.
