Any competent locksmith can get you into the trunk and also make a new key, too.
wytedrummer @ 8:43 am:
call a locksmith to unlock the trunk not make a new one, they should come out with a nifty little device and unlock it for you
oklatom @ 8:05 pm:
Get the VIN off the front forks, call them back and have them cross reference and make you a key that way.

Take the Vin # to a Yamaha dealer and they issue you a new key.

take the lock to a lock smith ,requires removal of lock.Or take the whole bike.
no one should break in to it for any reason.
And keep your papper work like that,in a safe place you can access any time.
a good way to rememeber that number . scratch it on the bike some where without saying what it is for ,
QUESTION BACK: where is the spare key ?
