Need Key Made From Existing Lock On Front Door?

Question by batgirl9923:

My sister changed the lock on the front door of my mom’s house and refuses to give me a key (long story that I won’t go into here)

My question is – can I call a locksmith and have them make a key from the exisiting lock that she put on the door?

Or would I have to have the locks changed AGAIN?

All I want is a key, I don’t really want to change the locks again.

HELP.

It’s probably easier to have the locks changed. The question is, do you have the right to do so.

Yes, a locksmith can do that. He is going to want authorization from the owner of the house.
