Are there sub-atomic particles than can zoom backwards and forwards in time ?

Question by Нас не догонят:

If there were such particles, they might be responsible for Murphy's law.
A flaw in a system is eventually found by the particles, which act as a locksmith picking a lock.

Trunk latch broken?

Question by King Loser:

While I was away, my wife locked her keys in the truck, one of her absolutely moronic frinds decided the best remedy to this situation was to jam a screwdriver into the key hole and try to force the lock open. Needless to say, that didnt go well. Then they just pulled at the back seat till it broke off and they were still not able to get her keys, nevermind I told her to just call a locksmith (what do I know?) Thren the proceded with the force idea some more untill they managed to get it open.

So all they could do was to tie the trunk down but not latched untill i got back, at which time I invested the 2 minutes it took to open the truck, manualy trip the lock witch was stuck in the locked position now, and shut it.

Anyway, now I want to put in a trunk opener handle with a cable system and I need to know if there is an aftermarket kit for this kind of thing. Any input or expirence would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance.

Atheists, I think I've seen the power of prayer?

Question by Swinger:

I was out with a Christian girl and I lost my keys. We were locked out of the car for hours looking for the keys.

She prayed that we'd find them by re-tracing our steps, no luck.

She prayed that we would find them at the restaurant, but no luck.

I called a locksmith, she prayed they'd be in the car, no luck.

Finally, I called another locksmith to make a new key. As I was driving home, the restaurant called me saying someone turned in the keys and she says "See, prayer works. I prayed that we would find the keys and we did!"

I was stunned, but I didn't argue. What do you think, is this how prayer "works"?

is a locksmith a government job?

frank asked:

i can't remember if it is or not.. i sort of blank out…

do you think john galt, if he existed, ever locked his keys in his car?

Question by lindseyxray:

this is purely hypothetical… john galt, from atlas shrugged- the "ideal" man, according to ayn rand. and yes, in reading the book, he's pretty hero-ish haha. but… everyone makes tiny mistakes. do you think if john galt really existed, he would have ever locked his keys in his car? and if he did, would he have called a locksmith? i just want to see people's input and opinions :) thanks!

You be the Judge, decide this case?

KR_7752 asked:

Marianna and Jason Jones were the proprietors of an antique store. They attended auctions frequently to obtain items for their personal use and as inventory for their store. On June 4, 1999, they attended an auction sponsored by Antique Helper in Indianapolis. The rules of the auction were that the sale was without reserve and that all sales were final.

During the course of the auction, the Marianna and Jason purchased a safe for $50 that had been part of the Girard estate. The auctioneer told the bidders that the inside compartment of the safe was still locked, and that the required combinations or keys to unlock the safe were unavailable.

When Marianna took the safe to a locksmith several days later to have the safe opened, the locksmith found $22,000 inside. The locksmith phoned the police who impounded the money. The Girard estate sued to recover the money, and Mr. and Mrs. Jones claimed that the safe and its contents had been sold to them.
