I moved into my house and did not get a key for the crawl space door. It is approximately 18″x24″ metal door with a simple metal bar that turns away from frame to drop open.
I am trying not to call a locksmith, but need in crawl space for repair. Thanks!!
I looked for the serial numbers early on (have locksmith at work who can use codes to make a new key) and there are none – would’ve been an easy fix. Checking on costs of locksmith… still $$
$40 an hour plus labor, ouch!

The dealership couldnt make it because someone who had the car before changed the locks.
Would it make a difference if I still have the thing where you press the buttons to unlock and lock. it has numbers on the back would that help. because i only lost the key not the button thing.

A friend borrows my truck while I am on vacation, and the key breaks off in the ignition. I have an extra key, and it’s easy to get they key out. Nevertheless, my friend calls a locksmith, rather than me. It costs $50 to remove the broken key from the lock and make a copy. If he had called me, I could have gotten the extra key to him from the person who is watching my pets. Now my friend wants me to pay for all, or part of the bill from the locksmith.

I have locked my keys in my chevy truck and CANNOT, I repeat, I CANNOT afford to call a locksmith. Can anyone tell me how to get in there. The windows are not cracked open.

I have a 2001+ Renault Laguna and the keycard now doesn’t allow me to unlock the door. The manual part of the card (the bit you can detatch to unlock the passenger door) doesnt work in the door itself – it just turns, so I can’t get into the car at all. I’ve ordered a replacement card from France through the local dealer and that should arrive in about a week. But I’m assuming they’ll need the car on site to reprogram it – something I cant do because the I can’t get in. its in my driveway and I lost the key I have the trunk key . It just opens the trunk.
If I took off the plastic collar around the steering wheel , will it free the ignition so I can move it( putting the trunk key in its place. As for now the steerings locked)
The cars not worth much and I don’t want to call a locksmith. That would cost more than the car

What do you do if there is a bathroom door that is locked, and no one can get in, and no one is in to unlock it? (beside calling a locksmith or something) how do you do that trick where you get a hair pin and stick it in the lock?
