toyota corolla trunk wont open?

the key You have in Your hand is the VALET’S KEY.

that key does not open the trunk.neither the gloves compartment.

Sometimes you can get a trunk to open if it’s jammed by pushing down real hard on the lid while trying to turn the key or operating the remote trunk opener…if the opener is the type where you pull a lever, try to remove the lever assembly and manually pull on the cable with a pair of needlenose pliers.
Otherwise, you’ll have to remove the back seat cushion and seat back to gain access to the inside of the trunk to work the latch open from the inside. The seat cushion should have two bolts or clips on the front lower edges holding it in and once removed the seat back should have two bolts or clips at the bottom corners to remove it.
Once opened, you’ll have to readjust the latch or figure out why it jammed.
A dealer, service station or bodyshop will probably charge by how long it takes them to get it open and any parts that need replacing usually starting with an hour labor which depends on your area and what they charge by the hour….body shop will have the cheapest rate.

Same thing hap pined on my Mazda 323 and i found if i push downward in my trunk lid as im turning the key it opens
