And as she was asleep he took out a pad, placed her key in, closed the pad so it would take a “memory” print of her key, and than made a copy at a Locksmith shoppe or something… what is that pad called, and where can I purchase/get one?

It was a wax or plasticene which makes an outline of the key. You cannot buy one because their only possible use is illegal and even if you made one no reputable locksmith would make a key from it for you.
