Will a locksmith make a “house call” to replace the door and trunk locks on my car?

07_ShelbyGT500 asked:

And roughly how much would it cost to have those locks (and the glove box lock) replaced? Not for parts, just labor; I will purchase the lock set on my own.
Its for a 67 Chevelle, which is why I said I could buy the parts; I haven’t bought them yet, just investigating. I’d rather not leave the car at the shop, which is why I ask about a house call. Unless they could do same day service.

More questions & answers:

  1. I need to change the locks in my new house tomorrow. Who do I call for that, a locksmith?
  2. Need to replace a deadbolt on my house, should I just replace it or have a locksmith come and rekey it?
  3. can locksmiths change new locks to work for an old key?
  4. My Ex used to be a locksmith. How can I keep him from entering my house?
  5. Don’t call a locksmith.. You can open that door yourself?

Did you steal the car? He probobaly wont replace them unless you let him buy the lockset. you see that is one more way they will make money by marking up what they paid for it. Few repair shops or owners of busnessies will let you by your own parts , also in case it fails.you will try to blame him and it would really be your fault.
